Orlando-Bogins

Orlando T. Bogins

I was born into a middle class family of four children making me the fifth child. My parents were healthy, independent, and strong willed which they instilled into all of their children along with a sense of respect, dignity and honor.  My household seemed to be very resourceful to the unfortunate family to look upon for guidance or structure. As I entered into the third grade, things became different for me.  I was now living with my mother only, attending a different school and living in a new neighborhood.  This transition was quite interesting for a nine year old, yet I stilled appeared to be somewhat strong within myself.  My mother enrolled me into various extra curricular activities so that I may be removed from certain family situations.  However, I still aimed to be apart of the family’s business and become involved in anyway possible.  From my involvement, I became very serious within myself.
