“The Fundamentals of Black Preaching,” is an enriching course designed to explore and celebrate the art, history, and impact of Black preaching. This class aims to equip students with a deep understanding of the unique and powerful traditions, techniques, and theological underpinnings that define Black preaching.
Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of activities, including reading seminal texts, listening to recorded sermons, participating in discussions, and delivering their own sermonic presentations. By studying the fundamentals of Black preaching, students will gain a profound appreciation for the cultural, spiritual, and social significance of this powerful tradition and develop the skills necessary to articulate their own messages with clarity, conviction, and inspiration.
